What to do in Paris Region during spring 2022?

Exhibitions, sports and gastronomic events... are blooming in Paris and its region this spring.
  1. What to do in Paris Region during spring 2022?

It’s official: spring has come! The first flowers are blooming in the parks and gardens, the days are getting longer, the temperatures are getting milder and we feel even more like enjoying the sunshine on the terrace of the cafés. So, after a winter that is always far too long, it is time to put away our coats and discover the best that Paris Region has to offer. Sports and gastronomic events, egg hunts with the kids, hikes in parks and gardens, exhibitions-events in the most beautiful museums… the program is bound to put a smile on our faces!

Sport, gastronomy, nature, culture... What's the point of choosing?

This spring, the decision has been made to put on our running shoes to prepare for the summer by taking short strides in the parks and gardens or in the open air in Paris Region’s forests. The most competitive among us will undoubtedly take on the mythical Paris Marathon which will set the capital’s tarmac alight on April 3rd. Unless you prefer to stand on the sidelines and cheer on the brave participants!

Will he win his 14th French title?

Who? Rafael Nadal, of course, whom we can’t wait to see on the red clay of Roland Garros! The best players on the tennis planet will be in Paris from 16 May to 5 June in a stadium that continues its transformation to provide an even better welcome to visitors from all over the world.

Spring also comes with its share of chocolate treats. Bells, eggs, little bunnies and other delicious sweet creatures are hidden in Paris Region’s parks and gardens for the Easter weekend on 17 and 18 April.. Will you be able to find them in the gardens of the château de Vaux le Vicomte, the château de Breteuil or in the heart of Paris, in the shadow of Auguste Rodin’s statues in the garden of his eponymous museum?

Gourmandise again with the new edition of Taste of Paris held under the vaults of the Grand Palais Ephémère from 12 to 15 May. Star chefs and young talents, food artisans and exceptional products… Taste of Paris brings together in one place the best of today’s and tomorrow’s gastronomy.

Paris Region’s spring exhibitions have a lot to say for themselves. Modern and contemporary art, fashion and photography… they know how to attract young and old alike! One rushes to the BnF to elucidate the secrets of hieroglyphs with Champollion, to the Atelier des Lumières to immerse oneself in the Provence of Paul Cezanne, to the Musée de l’Orangerie to admire the delicacy of the Impressionist decorations, to the Musée d’Orsay to confront the genius of Antoni Gaudí, to the Cinémathèque française to melt in front of Romy Schneider’s talent, who died 40 years ago in 2022…

Finally, they are back, even more beautiful and with their share of surprises! In Boulogne-Billancourt, west of Paris, the Albert-Kahn Museum unveils on April 2nd the largest collection of autochromes in the world. A fabulous journey in images and gardens that serve as its showcase. In the heart of Paris, the famous hanging of the Lady and the Unicorn will be reunited with its admirers in the newly renovated Musée de Cluny. The doors to these priceless medieval collections will reopen on 12 May!
