Exhibition ticket - Napoléon
Admired by some, hated by others, one thing is certain: the character of Napoleon Bonaparte leaves no one indifferent. Between heroism and tragedy, victory and defeat, modern advances and regressive measures, he shaped the destiny of France and marked an era.
To mark the bicentenary of his death, the Grande Halle de la Villette, in collaboration with the Rmn - Grand Palais, and RE / Adonis, are offering a spectacular exhibition, to the extent of the character's excessiveness. More than 150 original pieces, furniture and artifacts created in the Egyptian spirit and presented in magnificent reconstructions, court clothes, luxury weapons, decorations, Sèvres porcelain, goldsmith's pieces, right up to a monumental car ordered for his wedding with Marie-Louise and the most modest funeral float used for his funeral in Sainte-Hélène are unveiled throughout the exhibition, which is treated both thematically and chronologically. From his rise to the decline of the imperial adventure, the exhibition retraces in nine sections the history of France through the intimate and romantic life of the Emperor. Exceptional!
