When can I use my tickets?

Different types of tickets can be purchased, depending on your chosen activity type:

  • Tickets with expiry date

These tickets have a limited validity ranging from 3 months or 6 months to 1 year. These tickets enable you to enjoy the reserved activity on the date of your choice depending on the opening dates and times and within the validity period.

  • Tickets valid for the date and time of your choice

For some services and according to availability, it’s vital to select the date and time of the visit at the time you purchase your ticket online. These tickets, which are dated with a specific date and time, enable you to enjoy the desired activity only on the date and time shown.

  • Tickets with reservation

For some tickets, after purchasing them you’ll need to make a reservation by e-mail or by telephone to arrange the desired date directly with the organiser.

Do you offer special group rates?

No, there is no Group rate.

1-2 Paris Museum Pass

How do I use the Paris Museum Pass?

To use the Paris Museum Pass, you simply need to present and scan it at the entrances to the different museums and monuments. To visit the Louvre Museum, you must firstly make a reservation on their website.

Do I need to reserve my visits to museums and monuments in advance?

Yes, for the Louvre Museum.
Paris Museum Pass holders must book a time slot (free of charge) on the Louvre Museum’s website to be able to visit it

Do I need to purchase a Paris Museum Pass for my children?

There is no special price for children for the Paris Museum Pass because many museums and monuments offer free admission for visitors under the age of 18 and for EU citizens under the age of 26.

Does the Paris Museum Pass provide admission without queueing?

A wide selection of museums and monuments can be visited using the Paris Museum Pass. You’ll find a complete list of them by clicking here.

Le Paris Museum Pass fait-il office de coupe-file ?

Yes, the Paris Museum Pass allows you to visit the museums and monuments without queueing*.

*The no-queue feature is not always guaranteed at certain sites with an admission system requiring you to produce a free ticket or when security checks or limited access are in force for security reasons.

When does my Paris Museum Pass become operational?

The Paris Museum Pass can be used from the moment it is purchased. The 2-day (or 48 hours), 4-day (or 96 hours) and 6-day package (or 144 hours) is activated when you first use it. For example, if the 2-day package is activated at 4 p.m. on Monday, you can use it until 4 p.m. on Wednesday.

1-3 Transport

How do I use the Paris Visite ticket?

The Paris Visite ticket must be inserted in the ticket machine to validate your journey. You must obligatorily write your last name and first name on the ticket. The package’s validity period begins on the date the ticket is first used.

Which forms of transport can I use with the Paris Visite ticket?

It’s possible to use all types of public transport with the Paris Visite ticket, (Metro, RER, Bus, Tram, Transilien, Orlybus, Orlyval, Roissybus).

What are the age requirements to qualify for the child’s rate for the Paris Visite ticket?

Children aged 4 to 11 years old (inclusive) qualify for the child’s rate for the Paris Visite ticket.

What’s the difference between zones 1 to 3 and 1 to 5?

Zones 1 to 3 cover central Paris and the inner suburbs.

Zones 1 to 5 cover the whole of the Ile-de-France region (central Paris, the inner suburbs and outer Paris). For example: Disneyland Paris, the Palace of Versailles, the airports (CDG and Orly) are in zone 5.

1-4 Sightseeing buses

How long is a ticket for the sightseeing buses valid for?

The 1-day ticket is valid for one calendar day and not 24 hours. However, if the ticket is used for the first time after 4 p.m. it will automatically be valid for the whole of the next day.

Where do the sightseeing bus tours begin?

There’s no specific place to begin a tour with the sightseeing bus. You can start your tour from any stop served by buses.

Are the sightseeing bus tours accompanied by commentary ?

Yes, each of the sightseeing bus tours proposes commentary in several languages.

  • Open Tour : French, English, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Brazilian, Russian, Chinese and Japanese.

Where does the sightseeing cruise begins?

The boarding points for the sightseeing cruises differ according to the chosen tour boat company:

  • Bateaux Parisiens: boarding at the Port de la Bourdonnais, Paris

  • Bateaux Mouches: boarding at the Port de la Conférence, Paris

  • Vedettes de Paris: boarding at the Port de Suffren, Paris

How are tickets delivered?

E-ticket: This is a printable ticket. Print your E-tickets directly from the confirmation e-mail received after completing your order.

M-ticket: This is an electronic ticket to be downloaded to your smartphone. Recover your tickets on your smartphone via your confirmation e-mail.

What does the administration charge of €1.45 billed for E-tickets and M-tickets relate to?

The administration charges cover the cost of processing orders and issuing tickets. These charges are charged per transaction and not per ticket. So, if you purchase 4 tickets you’ll only pay the administration charge once.

I completed my purchase but I have not received my order confirmation e-mail?

If you’ve placed an order but have not received the confirmation e-mail, please contact us using our contact form so that we can carry out the necessary checks.

I have not received my E-tickets (printable) or M-tickets (mobile format) after placing my order?

If you’ve placed an order but have not received your tickets, please contact our customer service department so that we can carry out the necessary checks.

Tickets to be collected from our collection points

How are the tickets issued?

Collection point: you can collect your tickets free of charge from one of our Tourist Information Points. (To do so, you’ll need to bring along the payment card used when purchasing the tickets, your order number and proof of ID. Only the payment card holder is authorised to collect the tickets).

Where can I collect my tickets? What are the different collection points available?

You can collect your tickets free of charge from one of our Tourist Information Points.

How soon after making my purchase can I collect my tickets?

You can collect your tickets on the collection date shown at the time you make your purchase.

How long do I have to collect my tickets?

You have 14 days to collect your tickets as from the desired collection date. (Beyond this deadline, your tickets will no longer be available and your bank card will automatically be re-credited with the order price).

What if I would like to collect my tickets from a different Tourist Information Point?

If you would like to collect your tickets from a different Tourist Information point than the one selected at the time you made your purchase, simply send an e-mail to our customer service department to inform them of the desired collection point. However, if a change of collection point is made at the last minute, our staff will issue your tickets to you regardless of the chosen location although you may have to wait a little longer when collecting them.

What if I wasn’t able to collect my order from the selected Tourist Information Point?

If you weren’t able to collect your order on the desired collection date, you can collect it from any other Tourist Information Points although you may have to wait a little longer when collecting it.

How do I collect my tickets in Paris?

A Tourist Information Point is available in the centre of Paris. It is located in Galeries Lafayette, which includes a number of large department stores, on the ground floor of the Homme store, 40 boulevard Haussmann, 75009 - with the entrance in rue Mogador/Porte Europe. You can collect your tickets from this Tourist Information Point.

If you’ve placed an order but have not received the confirmation e-mail, please contact our customer service department so that we can carry out the necessary checks.

Which charges apply when collecting my tickets?

You can collect your tickets free of charge from one of our Tourist Information Points.

Can I have my tickets delivered to my home or my hotel?

We do not offer home or hotel delivery. We invite you to visit one of our Tourist Information Points.

3-Reservations / Modifications / Refunds / Order traking

Do I have to create an account to make a purchase?

To make a purchase, you must obligatorily create an account at Visitparisregion.com or log in using your Facebook, Google or Amazon account.

How can I track my order status?

You can track your order status from the “My account” page (the “My orders” section).

How do I cancel an order from my customer account?

You have the possibility to cancel your order from the “My account” page (the “My orders” section) up to 48 hours before the ticket collection date.

How do I modify or cancel an order?

The electronic tickets purchased on Visitparisregion cannot be exchanged or refunded. The only cases in which refunds may possibly apply concern events/activities and are subject to the special conditions imposed by the organiser of the event/activity.

How do I obtain a refund?

4-Payment and security

Which payment methods can I use to pay for my orders?

We accept payments by bank card, Visa, MasterCard, or American Express via the secure payment system operated by our partner BRED Banque Populaire.

What do I do if I don’t use any of the payment methods mentioned above?

If you don’t have any of the above-mentioned payment methods, we invite you to purchase your tickets from one of our Tourist Information Points.

Are my payments secure?

You will be transferred to a secure server which will protect your bank details.

The payments made via Visitparisregion.com are secured by our partner BRED Banque Populaire.

We use SSL encryption to protect all data concerning personal information and payment methods. In all secure zones in which the web address of Visitparisregion.com begins with https:// (The “s” refers to secure), this encryption makes it possible to ensure the protection of sensitive data exchanged between your browser and Visitparisregion.com.

Is it possible to place an order by telephone?

We do not take orders by telephone. If you experience any difficulties in placing an order, please contact our Customer Service Department using the contact form.
