Description
We live in a digital age, and the Smallable adventure began online, through a specialist e-shop with the highest of standards, whose success rapidly led to the opening of a brick-and-mortar store. And what a store that was! Established in 2015 in a vast workshop, complete with skylight, in the highly select Sèvres-Babylone neighbourhood, it then expanded to a second location, entirely devoted to babies, in 2018 (opposite the first, at number 82). Its founder, Cécile Roederer, has a peerless knack for gathering together the best designers, masters of the art of making the attractive practical and vice versa. The selection has all bases covered, from breastfeeding pillows to stylish school desks, not to mention a full range of clothing for 0- to 16-year-olds (and even for grown women). Roederer deals only with eco-conscious brands, so you can invest in an organic-cotton bath poncho, or a rattle made from wood from eco-managed forests, and do your bit to save the planet.
