Description

Discover Europe’s leading collection of modern and contemporary art during your visit to the Centre Pompidou, ideally located between the Les Halles and Le Marais districts and just a stone’s throw from the rue de Rivoli. Set in the heart of Paris, “Beaubourg” will impress you from the moment you arrive for its sheer scale and imposing appearance, then through the richness of its collections and the beautiful view from its top floor.

Bringing together more than 100,000 works, the Centre Pompidou collections (the National Museum of Modern Art - Industrial Creation Centre) are one of the world’s leading collections of 20th and 21st century art. From major historical collections to the most recent acquisitions, they encompass the fields of visual arts, design, photography, new media, experimental cinema, architecture, design and industrial prospective.

See flagship works, rediscover iconic artists (Henri Matisse, Georges Rouault, Georges Braque, Pablo Picasso, Sonia and Robert Delaunay, Fernand Léger, Vassily Kandinsky, František Kupka, André Breton, Alberto Giacometti, Jean Dubuffet, and more) and the founding movements of modern art (fauvism, cubism, surrealism, lyrical abstractions and cold abstraction).
