Description
t's been a long time coming. Since its opening in early 2024, a giant 7500 m2 food court has been delighting the people of Saint-Ouen… and beyond. Under its huge industrial hall, now a hundred years old, restaurateurs, traders and associations offer visitors unique moments of sharing and enjoyment. After bargain hunting at the Saint-Ouen flea market, pay a visit to this place brimming with humanity.
Multicultural delights
True to the people of Saint-Ouen and their values, Communale is a place where gastronomy and multiculturalism are one and the same. There are 3 worlds to choose from: the market, the street food stalls and the bars.
For everyday shopping, what could be more enjoyable than sharing recipe ideas with the Docks fishmonger? Or sampling the latest French-Palestinian pastries from Maramiya?
Once you've filled your basket with flowers, vegetables, meat and dried fruit, head over to Central, the bar at the heart of Communale, to sip a beer brewed on the premises, accompanied by one of the delicious dishes on offer at the stall. Here again, world cuisine takes pride of place. If your heart is set on a smash burger, a Bolivian empanada or a Sicilian Neapolitan pizza, don't worry, take a portion to share with your table-mates… Good food makes good friends!
Set off on an urban exploration, discovering the alternative places in the Paris Region.
