Description
Getting around by boat is quite a change from the metro! With its east-west
Paris route, the Batobus offers an original alternative to your usual transport options. As they navigate down the Seine, 6 modern trimarans offer the opportunity to soak in the city through a new vantage point.
The Batobus: a unique way to visit Paris
In 2026, the Batobus remains the ideal solution for combining transport and tourism in Paris. This river shuttle, with its 9 strategic stops along the Seine, allows you to hop on and off at will, close to the most famous monuments. It is a practical, eco-friendly and panoramic way to discover the capital, far from the hustle and bustle of public transport.
The shuttles serve the capital's major tourist attractions. The network's stations are ideally located in the heart of Paris's iconic neighbourhoods:
• Eiffel Tower
• Musée d'Orsay
• Saint-Germain-des-Prés
• Notre-Dame
• Jardin des Plantes
• Hôtel de Ville
• Louvre
• Champs-Élysées
• Invalides
The entire route takes about 2 hours, but you can get off at each stop to visit the sites at your own pace. The boats are fully glazed, offering breathtaking views of Parisian monuments.
With the Pass Batobus's reasonably priced packages, you can take the shuttles as many times as you like for a specific period (1-2 consecutive days). And the good news is that the Duo Liberté pass is a combined Batotus – Big Bus ticket that allows you to discover the most beautiful monuments of Paris from the open-top deck of a double-decker bus.
2026 timetable: when and how do the boats run?
Batobus timetables vary according to the season. From 3 November 2025 to 31 March 2026:
