An immersive journey into the world of the Impressionists.
Two years of research, analysis and design have gone into Tonight with the Impressionists. Paris 1874. This visit plunges curious young and old alike into the Paris of the Belle Époque, where a major event changed the artistic landscape: the inauguration of the exhibition that gave birth to the Impressionist movement.
Equipped with a virtual reality headset, your visit will be as immersive as you want it to be. And all this has been made possible by the work of Impressionist specialists from the Musée d'Orsay, artists and the XCURIO and GEDEON Experience group. It's a masterpiece, as evidenced by the faithful and meticulous reconstruction of Nadar's studio and the exhibition, down to the smallest detail.
Paris, 15 April 1874, 8pm.
Let yourself be guided by Rose, a model and writer in her spare time. Walk with her up the boulevard des Capucins to the former studio of the photographer Nadar. An exhibition is being opened that, as yet unknown, will leave a lasting impression..
From room to room, painting to painting, you will mingle with the avant-garde crowd of the time. You'll delight in the spectacle offered by the exhibiting artists, including Cézanne, Pissaro, Degas, Monet and Renoir… Lively debates on the role of art in times of conflict, when the face of the world is constantly changing. A historic scene, yet still relevant today.
But your visit is not limited to the walls of the studio. A few escapades will take you to the places where those who would soon be known as the Impressionists drew their inspiration. From the Île de la Grenouillère on the banks of the Seine to Monet's hotel room in Le Havre (where the immense Impression, soleil levant was created), your poetic wanderings will be dazzling.
And if you want to continue your impressionist journey, Paris Region, the birthplace of the artistic movement, is full of surprises.
Between cultural excitement and artistic revelation, discover Paris Region's exhibitions.
