Description

Rue du Temple. Marais district. Is your tummy starting to rumble? The Temple & Chapon restaurant, located inside the Experimental Marais hotel complex, along with a bar and a spa, serves delicious gourmet meals. The chef, Mélanie Serre, promises a unique culinary experience with an East Coast feel.

Fifties America right here in Paris

A Manhattan wind is blowing over the upper Marais district. Indeed, this restaurant with the feel of a New York Chop House takes its name, like other brands, from two of the streets that criss-cross the Big Apple. As you enter, you’re greeted by a myriad of flasks adorning the cosy bar. Once past the counter, you’ll feel the *Mad Men* atmosphere of the immense hall featuring larger-than-life chandeliers, huge mirrors, velvet chairs and leather seats. Take your pick from the main restaurant for lunch with colleagues, or one of the alcoves for a romantic candlelight dinner.

Big Apple cuisine with a French touch

Where there’s a Chop House there’s premium quality food. Although the setting seems more suited to an intimate dinner, the menu serves everything from breakfasts to cocktails. Loyal to the traditions of New York, Mélanie Serre, the chef, gives pride of place to her meat and seafood specialities. Die-hard meat lovers will enjoy the veal pâté en croûte with foie gras and pistachio for starters, followed by *pork belly* confit with honey and spices. Prefer something from the sea? There’s nothing quite like Rockefeller oysters, baked oyster gratin with spinach, or lobster linguine… Not forgetting the lobster rolls, crab cakes and pot pies that have nothing to envy of Uncle Sam’s version. To round off your meal in style, treat yourself to a Paris New York, a globe-trotting nod to Paris-Brest cake. Your adventure continues into the weekend, with a revisited version of the New York brunch. A high-flying change of scene for your taste buds.
