Exhibition ticket - Botticelli, artist and designer
The Musée Jacquemart-André lifts the lid on the creative genius of Sandro Botticelli and the work of his studio, exhibiting around forty works, paintings and drawings, representative of the talent of this most refined of painters. These works invite us to discover how his work evolved over time, shedding light on his activities in the studio, a laboratory teeming with ideas and training.
Arranged chronologically and thematically, the exhibition illustrates Botticelli’s personal stylistic development, the links between his work and the culture of his time, and the influence he himself exerted on his contemporaries and on the generations of artists who would later hold him up as the Master of the Italian Renaissance.
