Description

For several years now, he has been the chocolatier par excellence throughout Paris – where he has no less than nine shops, including this flagship on Place de la Madeleine. His destiny is a true French saga.

The son of bakers in the Loire Valley, Patrick Roger began his training in pastry at the age of 15, before specializing in chocolate. Such a lively product was predestined for this strong, pioneering spirit! Winner of the Chocolate World Cup in 1994, and named Meilleur Ouvrier de France in 2000, the chocolate maker won over the capital with his one sweet delicacy in particular: the Instinct rocher, a chocolate praliné with hazelnuts, roasted almonds and caramelized sugar, so irresistible that it seems unfair…

But the man is above all an undeniable artist who does not hesitate to work chocolate as if it were clay. His brilliant, inspired sculptures, exhibited as far away as Japan, are now cast in bronze or aluminium. Patrick Roger, or the art of making intense, fleeting pleasures last forever…

You can also find Patrick Roger at 108 boulevard Saint-Germain.
