Lafayette Anticipations

Housed in a 2,300 m² former industrial building renovated by the architect Rem Koolhaas, Lafayette Anticipations is a unique venue where contemporary art is created. Conceived as a space for both production and exhibition, the foundation welcomes artists from the visual arts, design, music and the performing arts, through a programme of exhibitions, performances and events that constantly renews our perspective on contemporary creation.

Between contemporary art and Paris’s major museums

n the heart of the Marais, Lafayette Anticipations is situated in a neighbourhood of exceptional cultural richness. Just a few streets away, the Museum of Hunting and Nature invites visitors to engage in a unique dialogue between art, nature and curiosities, whilst the Museum of Jewish Art and History sheds light on more than two thousand years of history and creativity. The majestic mansions of the National Archives, meanwhile, offer a window into France’s history. A little further on, the Picasso-Paris National Museum houses the largest public collection dedicated to the artist, whilst the Carnavalet Museum tells the story of Paris in an exceptional setting. Combining emerging talent with recognised masterpieces, this part of the Marais offers a unique cultural experience where contemporary art, heritage and exceptional collections come together.
