Trainers on your feet, spoon and fork in your pocket

Whether you're on the hunt for the best mille-feuille recipe in Paris or the latest trendy restaurants, you have a passion for good food. How about exploring behind the scenes of French gastronomy this time? That's the experience offered by La Route des Gourmets. Their credo: luxury gastronomy, Parisian patisseries and chocolateries, biodynamics, local produce and culinary tradition. With an approach that is both cultural and historical, local products reveal all their secrets through anecdotes, encounters and, of course, tastings. An epicurean discovery of the Marais, Saint-Germain-des-Prés or Châtelet-les-Halles? Meals with unusual flavours? Champagne tastings? You're sure to find an experience that suits your palate. And each season has its own delights: you'll explore the Christmas markets in a new way when winter arrives, or search for the best Easter chocolates with Parisian artisans.

The cream of the crop

La Route des Gourmets is, of course, a story of passion, started in 2012 by Carole Métayer. Initially a guide at the Rungis market, this food lover took her culinary ambitions to the next level by opening her own food tourism agency. What started as a small business has grown into a large company, and La Route des Gourmets now employs multidisciplinary experts. Historians, geographers, pastry chefs and oenologists work every day to create unique tours that are far off the beaten track.

Treat your taste buds to a feast with local producers in the Paris Region.
