Description
Housed in the French gardens of the Musée Carnavalet in the heart of the Marais district, Joli is much more than just a restaurant; it's a sensory and cultural experience. Open since June 2025, this new venue has already established itself as a must-visit destination for lovers of fine dining and unique atmospheres.
Signature cuisine with travel influences
At the helm of the kitchen, chef Issac Roméra finely revisits the classics of Parisian bistros, enriched by his influences from Tokyo and Mexico. The result? Daring, refined dishes such as caramelized eggplant with dark beer and miso, sea bream crudo with raspberry or smoked cockerel with hay and mirabelle plum juice.
On the sweet side, pastry chef Paloma Laguette reinvents French sweet icons with a touch of mischief: chocolate mousse with red miso and caramelised puffed rice, tarte Tatin with chai spices or red fruit nage with shiso.
The experience continues at the bar with a list of cocktails and mocktails with a plant-based twist, devised by mixologist Clément Brousset.
A décor that blends art and nature
The setting is just as meticulous as the food. The decor blends raw materials, monumental frescoes and mirrored ceilings, creating a subtle dialogue between modernity and heritage. Two new interior rooms, inspired by the works of Henri Gervex, complement the bucolic terrasse nestling in the Cour des Drapiers.
Joli is a rare combination of a place steeped in history, inventive cuisine and a timeless atmosphere. This is an address not to be missed, whether for a sunny lunch, a romantic dinner or an exceptional evening out.
