Description
Located in the heart of the Parc Naturel Régional du Vexin Français, in a green setting of 70 hectares, the Villarceaux estate, nicknamed "the pearl of Vexin", is composed of a unique ensemble of buildings from the 14th to the 19th century classified as Historic Monuments and magnificent gardens.
From April 4 to November 1, the 2026 cultural season at the Domaine de Villarceaux promises a rich and diverse program. In the heart of a preserved natural setting, visitors can enjoy historical reenactments, open air concerts, dances, performances, guided walks, creative workshops, and nature themed activities.
Among the highlights are the Historiques de Villarceaux (June 6 and 7), offering an immersive weekend across different historical periods; the Saturdays in the Countryside (May 2, June 13, July 11, September 12, and October 10), which combine picnics, concerts, and walks; as well as the Sound Gardens, Nocturnal Strolls, Twilight Walks, and Extraordinary Walks, inviting you to discover the estate through artistic and musical performances.
The season also celebrates heritage, nature, and contemporary art, with exhibitions, escape games, beekeeping introductions, wildlife observation sessions, and festive events such as the Gourmet Heritage Days (September 19 and 20).
An invitation to explore, dream, and marvel with family and friends.
Gardens labelled "Remarkable garden".
Open to the public from April to October, the medieval, Renaissance, French and English gardens are perfect for strolling and contemplation. The parterre, the boxwood embroidery and the great perspectives mingle with the basins, canals and the large pond fed by numerous springs present on the estate.
Between nature and history
Designed by Jean-Baptiste Courtonne, the so-called upper castle, in a Louis XV style, is a perfect example of the large holiday or reception houses built in the 17th century by the aristocracy or the bourgeoisie. It unveils, through its lounges and dining room, a magnificent collection of paintings and furniture from the 18th century. The Cour d'Honneur opens onto the surprising "Sauts de Loup", which form a landscape unchanged since the 18th century and offers an exceptional panoramic view of the estate and the bucolic landscapes of the Vexin.
Your journey continues through some of the most beautiful gardens in Paris Region.
