Description
If you’re looking for new experiences, then head to one of the Paris Region’s green lungs: the forest of Fontainebleau. A former hunting ground for the kings of France – including Francis I – the forest is the perfect place to escape into nature only a few miles from Paris.
Surrounded by century-old trees and whatever the season, embark on a truly unique outing: a dog sled ride.
An unusual outing close to nature
Embark on a 1.5-hour ride in a dog sled pulled by a pack of dogs and travel along forest trails on a 4-kilometre loop. Before setting off, an introduction will help you understand the role of each dog and the techniques of dog sledding, for an experience that is both fun and educational.
Seated in your kart, you will travel along forest trails guided by a professional musher who will demonstrate his close bond with these canine athletes. In direct contact with nature, admire the Scots pines, oaks and beeches above your heads while learning how a sled works.
Évasion Canine, a specialist in this discipline, offers activities accessible to all, supervised by Christian Perlwitz, a passionate musher and 2006 national champion. Committed to animal welfare and environmental preservation, in collaboration with the Fontainebleau Biosphere Reserve, Évasion Canine offers a responsible experience to be enjoyed without moderation.
Discover an unusual and exotic activity just an hour from Paris.
