Description

Just 30 km from Paris, the two picking gardens in Compans welcome you from April to November so that you can cook fresh, seasonal produce at home. Follow the natural cycle and eat local, savouring the flavours of hand-picked fresh food.

Rediscover the pleasure of picking your own fruit, vegetables and flowers. You can take home as much as you want! Make sure you come suitably dressed for the weather, in your gardening gear, with a hat to protect yourself from the sun or a hood to keep out the rain. Don’t forget your secateurs and your gloves to protect your fingers from the thorns. Wheelbarrows and containers are provided by the staff, who are on hand to help you out and answer your questions.

There are no fewer than 50 varieties of fruits and vegetables on offer. In the spring, head to the picking garden on Rue de Mitry, while in summer and autumn, you should go to Rue de l’église instead.
In a friendly, welcoming setting, the Au P’tit Marché Gourmand store sells local and regional produce including poultry, cheese, deli meats and dairy products. Come and stock up on top-quality fare!
