Description

On the Place Vendôme, the city’s destination for fine jewellery, sits the iconic Ritz Hotel, home to the Hemingway Bar, the most sought-after temple to exceptional cocktails in Paris. Looking imperial in his white jacket, the head barman, Colin-Peter Field, has hosted the crème de la crème of fashion, business and cinema here, since 1994. You’ll feel like a star in this plush cocoon, where no effort is spared for your comfort.

Extraordinary Nectars

This chic and cosy boudoir is nearly buried under Ernest Hemingway paraphernalia, including photos, manuscripts, safari trophies, and even his old typewriter. The bar was the epicentre of the American author’s social life when he lived in Paris in the 1920s.

The brilliant head bartender serves simple, but perfectly balanced
cocktails,
made from the best ingredients available. Once settled comfortably in a Directoire style leather armchair, be sure to order Mr Field’s speciality: the Serendipity (Calvados, mint, apple juice, Champagne); a simple, fresh and subtle variation of the Mojito.

The cocktails are priced at 32€ and the virgin cocktail, 26€.
