From 25 to 31 August 2025 the biggest Badminton competition will take place at the Adidas Arena located at Porte de la Chapelle, in the 18ᵉ arrondissement of Paris. This brand new Arena was created for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games and is causing a sensation in the field of hosting major events. After hosting the badminton events for the Olympic Games, this summer it will welcome the world's best badminton players who will compete in five disciplines: men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles.

The Badminton World Championships are one of the most prestigious competitions in the sport. Organised by the Badminton World Federation (BWF), this prestigious competition was created in 1977. Every year, the world's greatest sportsmen and women meet in a different country, such as Denmark in 2023 and Paris this year.

The Badminton World Championships are a knockout tournament. Players compete in two sets of 21 points each. Only the winners advance to the next round.
