Description

Not far from Place des Vosges and a stone’s throw from Village Saint-Paul, in this historic district of the French capital, the traditional front of the bakery Au Petit Versailles du Marais has been a hit. The listed ceilings, the work of Charles Anselme, and the mouldings and wood panelling all provide the perfect setting for the quiches, breads, pastries and cakes produced by Christian Vabret.

Multi-grain bread, sourdough or traditional baguette, people come from afar to enjoy the specialities of this baker from the Auvergne region who even leads cooking courses in China. His secret? Slow fermentation and good products!

If you’re looking for a snack break, take a seat in the cosy tea room beside the boutique to enjoy the pastries and cakes in comfort, for young and old. Chocolate éclairs, flans, tarte tatin or a creamy, light and tasty Paris-Brest. Pleasure for the eyes and the taste buds, a perfect combination!
