Description
Here in the heart of the 11th arrondissement, the capital’s new trendy district, an Italian couple have put their culinary passion into the creation of Amâlia. A few streets from the Atelier des Lumières, this gourmet restaurant with a Michelin star promises a boldly refined dining experience.
A French-Italian mix that’s the talk of the town
The Amâlia restaurant opened in 2024, following an encounter between two chefs, Cecilia Spuro and Eugenio Enfuso, whose very names ooze with Italian sunshine. Their speciality? A modern and surprising take on French cuisine. Here, the atmosphere is part of the culinary experience, with a sophisticated style down to the tablecloths, the subdued light and the intimate atmosphere. The Gothic feminine name, Amâlia, is very fitting. It means “hard-working”, a nod to the precision and passion that goes into every dish created by the duo.
A Michelin star that makes its mark on Paris
Amâlia has joined the list of Michelin-starred gourmet restaurants in Paris. This distinction only confirms what fine diners had already found out: that Amâlia is a must. The menu includes a few set meals featuring mouthwatering, sunny dishes from starters through to dessert. Succumb to temptation with a plate of gnocchi glazed in Tabasco butter, or a carpaccio with roasted pineapple and potatoes. To keep all diners happy, the restaurant also serves a vegetarian menu. And because excellent food requires an excellent vintage, a wine pairing option is available to enhance each dish.
