Description

After the cancellation of the 2020 championships planned in Hong Kong, it’s naturally a pleasure to see this international competition hosted in the Paris Region in 2022. The Golf National and the Golf de Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche will be welcoming the future stars of international golf for a fortnight. Come and enjoy this sporting event for free!

Organised by the International Golf Federation (IGF) and the French Golf Federation, this is the second time that France, a natural home for golf, has organised these events. This year, the Women’s Championship will be held from 24 to 27 August 2022, followed by the Men’s Championship from 31 August to 3 September 2022. 60 women’s teams and 72 men’s teams, each consisting of 3 players, are competing to make their mark in the golf world.

During the 2018 event in Ireland, great names such as Viktor Hovland, Nicolai, Rasmus Højgaard and Jennifer Kupcho proudly walked away with a title and are still on the leaderboards. So don’t miss the future stars of world golf!

At the Golf National, the championships are being held on the legendary Albatros course. This golf course, a flagship facility of the French Golf Federation, is world famous for hosting the 2018 Ryder Cup and the French Open every year. It’s a showcase site for major golfing competitions and is considered one of the best championship courses in Europe. Located in the town of Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, near Versailles just a few kilometres from Paris, it is ideally situated to enable visitors to also visit the great Parisian monuments.

Over at the Golf de Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche, it is on the red course, designed by the architect Fred Hawtree, that the ladies’ and gentlemen’s rounds will be taking place. Also located to the west of Paris, this is a very private golf course that is once again opening for the occasion. With a club house fitted out in a royal outbuilding of the Château de Versailles, its noble credentials are second to none! An exceptional and unique opportunity to discover the very private golf course of Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche!
