Description
To commemorate France’s victory at the 1998 World Cup, Zinedine Zidane and Adidas decided to create a multisport playground in the town of Saint-Denis, near the Stade de France. The location includes a football field of course, but also exercise machines, a basketball hoop and a skateboard ramp. Ramps on playgrounds are quite rare, so be sure to take advantage of them!
With a large number 10 painted in the middle of the pitch, as well as blue, white and red colours that cover the whole space – forming Zidane’s jersey when viewed from above – there’s no question the place has class! The ramp, which is entirely made of wood and designed by Woodstructure, reaches no higher than 1 m, ideal for beginners. A small ramp with an unusual decor for urban skateboarders!
The playground is named for Zidane (“ZZ10”), and the 2018 World Cup was the perfect opportunity to celebrate the 20th anniversary of France’s victory at the 1998 event.
