Description
On the 10 and 11 June 2023, the medieval cityand UNESCO World Heritage site of Provins will come to life for its 38th Médiévales festival – it’s a must-see for families and fans of feudal life!
For one weekend, relive the ambiance of the famous Champagne fairs of the 12th and 13th centuries through which the town established its reputation of the time as a commercial hub of Europe.
Surrounded by captivating shows and plenty of fun activities, immerse yourself in the age of knights with this year’s theme of “Celebrations and Festivities”. Entertainers, troubadours and minstrels perform on the town’s streets while craftspeople offer wonderful reproductions of medieval items using materials such as wicker, rattan, wool and leather.
The key moments of this festival that you won’t want to miss are the medieval ball on the Saturday and the parade on the Sunday. Come to admire the attire of nearly 500 costumed people during this colourful march.
Extend your epic by attending the medieval shows of the Eagles of the ramparts and the Legend of the knights. And why not come back for a real family weekend in Provins?
