Description
In the 1st arrondissement, just a stone’s throw from the Comédie-Française, On the Bab is the new place to be for anyone who’s longing to find out what Korean street food is all about.
This restaurant opened in 2019, having already become popular amongst Londoners. This Korean eatery with an urban feel was founded by the amazing Linda Lee, who is also the lady behind Mari Mari Kimbap.
The Parisian home of authentic K food
A far cry from the stereotypes, On the Bab revisits the K-food classics in a menu that should satisfy any appetite as well as your curiosity. They serve soft rolls filled with marinaded meat, copious bibimbaps and crispy Korean fried chicken that’s seasoned to perfection. Served with homemade sauces, this mouthwatering dish is truly the star of the show.
Not forgetting the selection of typical drinks, such as Soju, the famous Korean alcoholic beverage that goes so well with the spicy dishes. Prefer something less strong? The plum wine known as Mehwasu makes an excellent alternative.
A trendy eatery with dishes to share
Everything about On the Bab is designed for those moments of togetherness. The chic industrial décor of natural timber and metallic touches creates a casual atmosphere that instantly puts you at ease.
Here, the dishes are copious and made for sharing. So, with your friends or family, or even on your own, come and succumb to all those temptations, from Kun Mandu (grilled ravioli) to fried rice balls.
