Noël à Provins

Behind the ramparts of Provins, there is a Christmas market unlike any other. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Provins, a preserved medieval city, takes you back to the time of knights and troubadours for two days of celebration.

On the market shelves, about forty passionate craftsmen and demonstrators present you the fruit of their almost forgotten savoir-faire. Manufacturer of weapons and armour, reproduction of period jewellery, accessories and costumes or local craftsmen, you can find something to escape the modern world.

To extend the celebration, take the children to listen to medieval music, admire the jugglers and acrobats and enjoy the many activities on offer. They can try their hand at wood cutting, take part in the games of yesteryear or ride a pony for a short ride.

And when evening comes, walk by candlelight. Magic ins't it ?
