Description
In a prime location at the heart of the Maison du Parc, in the outbuildings of the Château de Théméricourt, the Musée du Vexin Français takes you on a journey of discovery through a region with exceptional landscapes and architecture.
Visitors can enjoy educational spaces devoted to geology and landscape interpretation, as well as fun areas dedicated to fauna, flora and buildings. After immersing themselves in the park’s rustic charm through the audiovisual show “Si le Vexin m’était conté” (“If the Vexin were a story”), they can get an insight into a Vexin home through the collection of objets d’art and traditional items amassed by a couple called the Vasseurs, fervent champions of the Vexin Français.
The museum also offers a varied cultural programme of workshops, shows and talks connected to its temporary exhibitions.
It has a tourist information area and a shop with a wide range of local craft products as well as guides and books about the region.
