Description
Every morning, vendors and visitors flock to this friendly place of exchange, elected in 2018 as “the most beautiful market of Ile-de-France”. The two-centuries-old halls are divided into four squares that arrange food items in various specialities and that house a number of local growers.
The food and non-food markets alternate in keeping with the exceptional character unique to this site since the 17th century. The outdoor stands for clothing and leather goods vendors as well as second-hand dealers liven up the square and transform the site into a social hub for Versailles locals and tourists from all around the globe.
Right next door, take a stroll along the cobblestone lanes are lined with shops. The restaurants and cafés surrounding the Marché Notre-Dame offer you a pleasant interlude in the heart of the magnificent Sun King city.
Discover the Marché Notre-Dame through one of the treasure hunts in the Paris Region Adventures application specially designed for families and downloadable free of charge.
