Description

Nestled in a small street away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this concert hall in Montreuil is a place where improvised, experimental and noisy music is presented, and is renowned by connoisseurs.

Initially a contemporary jazz club, Les Instants Chavirés have gradually opened up to avant-garde music and offer a musical programme marked by the broadcasting of concerts, the organisation of tours and artists' residencies. More than 3000 concerts have been proposed on its stage, reflecting the multiple forms, generations, origins and approaches that contemporary music can take. But only 150 privileged people will be able to attend concerts by confirmed artists or young artists from the French underground scene. Among the most famous indie, noise and experimental bands, Les Instants Chavirés have welcomed the Californian musicians of Deerhoof, Damo Suzuki, Melt Banana and the Quebecois band, Godspeed You! Black Emperor.

This concert hall is, on top, the cradle of the Sonic Protest Festival, a must-see event in Paris Region.
