Les Fleurs

With its black façade and atelier-like windows, this contemporary Ali Baba’s cave has visitors won over before they’ve even stepped inside. It’s the perfect stop for gifts.

Description

Les Fleurs is one of those places you go when you need to buy a gift or treat yourself and are never disappointed. It’s easy to spot from the street, with the plants hanging outside in little wooden cages. Insides, cactuses and other succulents prove that the boutique is aptly named. The large shop floor resembles a bric-a-brac: a joyous mishmash of different objects, where everything is for sale, and accessible to all budgets.

At the head of this treasure trove are Lucie Deniset and Fabien Dubois. Everything you find here has been lovingly chosen by them and made, for the most part, by small independent designers or brands that are little-known in France. As you browse, you may find yourself falling in love with a wicker armchair, an egg cup or a “bonheur” cushion, a scented candle, fairy lights, a basket, a carafe, an iPhone cable or USB key, retro kitchen utensils or a piece of cute jewellery.

A second store

Three minutes away on foot, at 6 Passage Josset, stands the original boutique, which has a more girly style. There, you’ll find a wide range of jewellery and accessories at affordable prices. It is also a good place to pick up purses, notebooks, old-fashioned games and leather goods. In short, between the two stores, you won’t know where to start.
