Le Jacques
Description
In an elegant 18th century residence, The Hoxton houses a speakeasy that boasts both historical and modern charm.
Crossing the paved courtyard, after a flight of small stairs, you will find Jacques’ Bar, a cocktail boudoir decked out like the Eastern-inspired lounge of an English lady.
This small bar, with an intimate and selective atmosphere, is a call to stray away from the beaten track and the constraints of time, offering a menu with eight creations themed around flavours and scents.
The exotic flavours, decor inspired by the Majorelle garden in Marrakech, and gourmet cocktails such as the Post Card from Marrakech (gin, almond, lemon and orange blossom) or the intense Tikiztate (tequila, pineapple juice with harissa, lime and ras-el-hanout), are an invitation to a faraway land!
The food menu is another treat for the taste buds. The hummus, eggplant caviar and Moroccan pastries will make you feel like you’re in the heart of a Moroccan souk!
The oriental paintings, velvet pouffes and floral wallpaper make Jacques’ Bar a thoroughly Instagrammable location!
This is a hugely popular destination, so make sure to book ahead if you want to enjoy a relaxing drink here, away from the hustle and bustle of Paris.
