Description
After a shopping spree in the golden triangle, you may have a rumbling tummy and aching legs. Just when La Réserve Paris appears before your eyes. The location and the name displayed discreetly above the entrance of this luxury hotel probably make it one of the City of Light’s best-kept secrets.
Formerly the secondary residence of the Duc de Morny, this private mansion was completely transformed by Jacques Garcia. A highly discreet venue that oozes French elegance.
Sheltered from the surrounding hustle and bustle, it feels like a haven when you step inside. The intimate, inviting interior pays homage to the aesthetic codes of the 19th century. The highlight is a stunning view of the capital’s most beautiful sights: Eiffel Tower, Grand Palais, Panthéon, Concorde…
Far from the stress, daily grind and passing of time
At La Réserve, the focus is on wellbeing. And it all begins (or ends) at the spa. Here, the architect’s decision to decorate the walls in red does nothing to spoil the serenity that prevails.
Before going for a massage performed by expert hands, hotel guests and visitors can swim a few lengths of the 16-metre pool or relax in the hammam. The perfect prelude to the treatments.
Of the Nescens Swiss brand, these are given in the three booths decorated in soft tones. Although the brand specialises in anti-age cosmeceuticals, the practitioners adapt each ritual to your personal wishes. Whether you want to let go, gain a deep sense of wellbeing, relieve stress, slow down the effects of time, boost your energy or brighten your complexion, your whole body will be pampered from head to toe.
La Réserve also has your fitness in mind. A gymnasium is at your disposal for physical training, yoga and Pilates classes and indoor or outdoor sports coaching tailored to your needs.
Reach for the stars
La Réserve Paris is more than just a place to recharge your batteries, it also takes you to the heights of gastronomy. Le Gabriel is a restaurant with three stars from the Michelin Guide, which serves sophisticated French cuisine to which the chef, Jérôme Banctel, adds his own creative twist.
For a more casual atmosphere, try La Pagode de Cos, where the menu is a whole voyage inspired by flavours from across the world. Then there’s the bar, a Parisian institution, where you can sip at a signature cocktail in an intimate setting.
