La Défense Jazz Festival
The 43rd edition of La Défense Jazz Festival promises to be like none that have preceded it. Initially scheduled for June, it has been pushed back to 21-27 September due to the health crisis.
But regular attendees can rest assured: the organisers have worked hard to guarantee that the festival will go ahead with its fundamental traits intact: free concerts, emerging and established artists, all styles of jazz. Once again this year, the lineup remains very avant-garde.
Due to the coronavirus epidemic and the cancellation of international tours, this unusual edition concentrates on French artists and artists resident in France, complemented – if border conditions so allow – by a few artists from the British scene.
Enjoy free outdoor concerts at lunchtime and after work on weekdays and in late afternoon/early evening at the weekend.
This year, the festival will take place within a limited area, with social distancing rules respected and capacity restricted, without sacrificing listening pleasure or the joy of a shared experience.
