Description
A green haven in the heart of the city
Nestled near the Docks district, the Grand Park of Saint-Ouen is a true lung for the city, a meeting point between residents and nature. Covering 12 hectares, it rivals iconic Parisian parks such as Bercy or André-Citroën, offering a wide range of activities for all ages.
The park stands out thanks to its many facilities: a 1,400 m² educational greenhouse dedicated to environmental awareness and gardening, children’s play areas, and vast relaxation zones, including an 11,000 m² meadow and a large 19,000 m² lawn—perfect for strolling or picnicking. Fans of board sports will enjoy a skate and roller area, while culture lovers can take advantage of a 320-seat open-air amphitheater.
The educational greenhouse welcomes visitors from Tuesday to Friday for hands-on workshops or activities focused on discovering local wildlife and plants—a place where biodiversity takes center stage.
Within the park, around one hundred tree species have been planted, encouraging the flourishing of local fauna and flora. It also hosts community gardens, managed by about fifteen associations, including the Rucher Audonien, which produces 400 kg of honey each year. These gardens, accessible to residents upon request, allow for pesticide-free cultivation of fruits, vegetables, and plants, strengthening the bond between inhabitants and their environment.
Open year-round, the Grand Park is a vibrant space where everyone can relax, learn, and connect. A must-visit destination for families, visitors, and locals alike.
