Glazed

Dazzling and original artisanal ice cream, and no artificial flavours (of course). “Engaged artisans with offbeat flavours” is the motto of one of the best ice cream shops in Paris!

  1. What to see and do

  3. Pâtissiers and chocolatiers
  4. Glazed

Description

Offbeat ice cream

It all started in a foodtruck at Paris Region music festivals like We Love Green or Rock en Seine. Henri Guittet, the creator of Glazed, asserts his quirky side and creates one-of-a-kind flavours. Dark Side (dark chocolate ice cream with maple syrup and cocoa nibs), Mr Green (Iranian pistachio and black sesame ice cream) and Clockwork Orange (orange sorbet with Campari and balsamic vinegar) are among the original and most popular of Glazed’s unmissable creations. No chance of bland gooey ice cream here!

Glazed, with its signature black storefront, is located on Rue des Martyrs, a stone’s throw from Pigalle, where they dole out cones and cups to long lines of fans from Paris and beyond. There’s no other place in the world where you can enjoy frozen treats like Smoke on the Water (vanilla bean ice cream with hemp seeds), Pump Up the Volume (mango sorbet with spicy piment d’Espelette), or Behind Blue Eyes (blueberry sorbet with coriander seeds).
The range of options varies by season, since the flavours and pairings depend on produce availability as well as relationships with local producers. Offbeat ice cream and sorbet made with high-quality ingredients – and mixed with a dash of humour, fun, and rock ’n’ roll.

Equally exciting frozen desserts including cheesecake, meringue vacherins and tarts are sold individually or for 6 people. And when temperatures drop, Glazed will warm you up with sweet and savoury waffles, topped with a secret sauce whose recipe they’ll never reveal. Fun, organic and local… You’ll come back for more!
