Frac Ile-de-France / Le Plateau

Le Plateau is a centre of contemporary art in Paris’s 19th arrondissement

  1. Frac Ile-de-France / Le Plateau

Description

Located in the 19th arrondissement of Paris, Le Plateau is one of the exhibition spaces of the Frac (Fonds régional d’art contemporain / Regional Contemporary Art Collection) in the Paris Region.

Since 2002, it has held temporary exhibitions devoted to single or multiple artists, giving plenty of attention to new talent. Guided tours, meetings with artists and curators, performances as part of the Séquence programme, and a host of events for all audiences are regularly organised both during the day and in the evening.

This Paris space is complemented by the Château de Rentilly, located in the Parc culturel de Rentilly-Michel Chartier, in Bussy-Saint-Martin, west of Paris. This entirely renovated former private residence is a work of art in itself, with its façades entirely covered with mirrors, designed by Xavier Veilhan.
