Description
2025 is on the way
The oldest National Open in continental Europe, first played in 1906, is back on the European Tour international calendar with sponsor FedEx.
The golfing world always looks forward to this major event! This year, with the Albatros course at Le Golf National closed for renovation, the FedEx Open de France 2025 will be held at Saint-Nom-la-Bretèche.
This year's Open runs from 18 to 21 September, to coincide with the Ryder Cup, which takes place a week later.
The return of the Open de Golf
After a period of transition between 2002 and 2008 marked by the historic double of Jean-François Remésy (2004 and 2005) and the surprise victory in 2008 of the Spaniard Pablo Larrazábal, who came from the qualifiers, the tournament is back with prestigious winners.
Germany's Martin Kaymer in 2009, Spain's Miguel Ángel Jiménez in 2010, France's Thomas Levet** in 2011, Germany's Marcel Siem in 2012, Northern Ireland's Graeme McDowell in 2013 and 2014, Austria's Bernd Wiesberger in 2015, Thailand's Thongchai Jaidee in 2016, and England's Tommy Fleetwood in 2017, have all added to the French Open's rich record of success.
The Open de Golf is played in 4 rounds of 18 holes, on a hard and demanding circuit. Each day of competition is a great day of sport and fun!
The French Open has been part of the European circuit since its creation. But above all, its status as the oldest national open in continental Europe (it was first played in 1906), its illustrious record, its exceptional course and its substantial prize money of three million euros make it one of the biggest events of the year.
The world's greatest players will meet for three days on the Albatros course at Le Golf National**. From 18 to 21 september 2025, you will find one of the most important stages of the European circuit!
