Espace Richaud
Description
Launched in 1781 under the direction of the architect Charles-François Darnaudin, the construction of the Royal Hospital of Versailles took nearly 80 years, and was not completed until 1859.
By taking the decision to restore the historic chapel of the former hospital to make it a place open to the public, the city of Versailles chose to equip itself with a new prestigious cultural facility. The Espace Richaud, which is only open during the exhibition period, hosts a wide variety of events, particularly during the Mois Molière, this theatre and music festival which takes place every year in June, in the streets, parks, theatres and historic sites of the city.
Spread over three levels, the different spaces dedicated to the creation and promotion of heritage present numerous exhibitions, concerts, conferences, but also live shows.
