Description

Bibim House La Fayette has opened one of its 3 Korean restaurants just a few minutes’ walk from the Buttes-Chaumont park. For connoisseurs, its very name conjures images of a great Korean classic, the house speciality. Besides bibimbaps, the restaurant is the ideal place for groups to enjoy a meal together.

A Korean experience in the heart of Paris

An inviting setting with a lovely wooden decor that offers an instant change of scene. Stepping inside Bibim House, it’s no surprise that the chef was a cabinetmaker before becoming an expert in Korean cuisine.

Take a stool and choose your bibimbap, the house speciality. This iconic Korean dish is generally composed of a bowl of rice, stir-fried vegetables and a protein food. It is served with gochujang, an aromatic, hot and spicy sauce (optional, not for the faint-hearted). If you’re trying Korean food for the first time, you can’t go wrong with this simple and nourishing dish.

At Bibim house, the bibimbap comes with beef, pork, squid, chicken or prawns and is always served with steamed fresh vegetables. There’s also a vegetarian option.

Food made for sharing

Bibimbap isn’t the only item on the menu. They also do Korean fondue, inspired by the Chinese version. ****There’s no danger of dropping your piece of bread in this fondue, as it’s nothing like the Savoie speciality. This dish consists of several ingredients all thrown together into a cooking pot and covered with stock. It cooks at the table before your eyes as you dip into the pot to enjoy your meal. The fondue is served with rice and a choice between marinaded beef or chicken, seafood, pork or vegetables.

At Bibim House, this pleasant dish serves two. In a group, you can choose different options for more variety. But be warned, it could end in a chopstick battle.

For a sophisticated dinner, barbecued food or brunch, your experience of Korean cuisine has only just begun. Check out other Korean restaurants in the Paris Region.
