Description
After conquering New York, Chicago, Melbourne and Montreal, the Africa Fashion exhibition, designed by London's Victoria and Albert Museum, is coming to Paris. It highlights the influence and creativity of African designers from the 1950s to the present day, exploring through iconic clothing, photographs, videos and contemporary pieces how fashion has become a vehicle for identity, freedom and cultural expression. This immersive journey reveals bold silhouettes, fabrics with vibrant patterns and artisanal craftsmanship that inspire the international scene. You will discover creations by iconic figures such as Alphadi and Shade Thomas-Fahm, alongside young talents who are reinventing the codes.
An unmissable cultural experience in Paris
Presented at the Musée du Quai Branly-Jacques Chirac in the heart of the capital, this exhibition invites visitors to travel through African cultures without leaving Paris. More than just an exhibition, ‘Africa Fashion’ tells a story: that of a continent that has transformed fashion into a universal language. Open from 31 March to 12 July 2026, it promises to be a highlight of the Parisian cultural season.
