Based on the original tale, the National Opera of Ukraine tells a story of friendship and bravery through the journey of young Gerda who embarks on an epic journey to find her friend.

The Snow Queen, a beautiful and great story of friendship with a magical background

Gerda and Kai, two childhood friends, live peacefully in their snowy village. One day, Kai receives an evil mirror shard that makes him cold and unfeeling, like ice. Gerda watches helplessly as he is transformed. When he disappears, the girl sets off on a long journey, full of adventure and encounters, to find her friend. Her unfailing determination leads her to the coldest parts of the northern kingdom, beyond the Arctic Circle, where the mysterious Snow Queen lives in her ice palace
