For one night, every first Saturday in October, contemporary creation is honoured in Paris and its region.
In the heart of the public space as well as in more secret locations, remarkable works and unique performances created by artists from all over the world are waiting to be discovered and admired. Nuit Blanche, a free event open to all, both artistic and festive, will take on a very special character in 2021 for its 20th edition when we have been deprived of cultural events for so many months. Never before has human contact been so important, as has our need to get together and be amazed.
A night of contemporary artistic creation
With Sandrina Martins and Mourad Merzouki at the helm of the artistic direction of this new edition, dance, artistic performances and music will be given particular prominence.
Sandrina Martins, who has been at the head of the Carreau du Temple since 2015, already combines art and sport, professional and amateur practices. Mourad Merzouki, a figure of the hip-hop movement since the early 1990s, starts from dance and combines circus, martial arts, plastic arts, video and even live music. A striking duo and a mixture of genres that is just as amazing.
Come on, forget about the rush of the new school year, the shortening days, the falling leaves and let yourself be lulled by the artistic dynamism of Paris and its region. There is no doubt that Nuit Blanche 2021 will surprise us yet again this year, thrill us and above all bring us together. We can't wait to discover the full programme!
