- Festival Lyrique de Paris at the Musée Jacquemart-André
Description
This summer, the prestigious musée Jacquemart-André, an architectural gem on boulevard Haussmann, becomes the setting for an extraordinary opera event. In collaboration with Opéra A Palazzo, the Festival Lyrique de Paris will be holding its first edition from 3 to 12 July 2025. In the hushed intimacy of the salons of this historic mansion, spectators will experience opera ‘from the inside’, as close as possible to the artists.
Four evenings, four musical journeys
Each performance is conceived as a complete dramatic narrative, combining famous arias and rare discoveries. On 3 July, the ‘Portraits of Women’ evening will feature powerful and bewitching heroines, from Carmen to Susanna, including compositions by Augusta Holmès and Clara Schumann. On 5 July, the great love scenes of Italian opera take centre stage, with excerpts from La Bohème, Rigoletto and L'Élixir d'Amour. On 10 July, Mozart's great arias, from The Marriage of Figaro to Don Giovanni, will resound in the museum's salons. And on 12 July, the great arias of French opera will round off the first edition of this Lyric Festival. The emotion of Bizet's Pêcheurs de perles, the poetry of Debussy's Clair de lune… Each performance is a rendezvous between art and emotion.
A sensory and emotional immersion
With its intimate staging, internationally renowned artists and a rare closeness between audience and performers, each evening becomes an enchanted interlude. The reduced format - around sixty spectators - allows for total immersion, enhanced by the beauty of the venue and the emotion of the voices.
Cultural emotions are intense at Paris Region.
