Théatre Mogador - Until 06/30/2019
Chicago 1920, the mob and prohibition, such is the setting of Chicago, an emblematic Broadway show for more than 20 years. Originally a play, Chicago is the work of three emblematic authors of the American music scene, John Kander, Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, also author and choreographer of Cabaret. History takes us back to the heart of the 1920s in Chicago. Roxie Hart, a cabaret artist, kills her lover. In prison, she is confronted with Velma Kelly, a double murderer but above all, a jazz singer and Roxie’s idol. Thanks to a hard-working lawyer - Billy Flynn - the two women will find their way to freedom and success. This winter, the iconic musical is being revived in Paris at the Théâtre Mogador, in a show featuring lively choreography and cheerful acrobatics. Humour, glamour, an omnipresent orchestra at the centre of the stage and bold singing acts guarantee the success of this legendary musical.
