Paris je t’aime is opening the Olympic and Paralympic Games 2024 season with SPOT24, a surprising exhibition at the crossroads of sport and culture, showcasing all new urban sports disciplines.

This year, the Olympic and Paralympic Games will proudly welcome 6 new disciplines, adding a new energy to this worldwide, unifying sporting event: skateboarding, sport climbing, freestyle BMX, surfing, 3X3 basketball and breaking.

Designed by François Gautret, creator of the acclaimed “Hip-Hop 360” event at the Philharmonie de Paris, the exhibition SPOT24 seeks to highlight, through a multitude of perspectives, these new sporting disciplines while revealing their rich relationship with urban cultures that birthed them.

These contemporary urban sports disciplines, born in the hustle and bustle of the streets, draw their essence from lifestyles with strong identites. Today, enthusiasts and amateurs have turned into exceptional athletes, and their integration into the Olympic and Paralympic Games is opening up a new era of modernity within the sporting world.

The exhibition invites you on an immersive and interactive tour featuring pieces from the valuable collection of the Musée Olympique de Lausanne, along with original creations by renowned French and international artists.

You will discover iconic pieces, archives with fascinating stories and an exceptional programme telling the exciting story of these emerging sporting disciplines and their rich urban cultural heritage in Paris.

Among the pieces you can admire at SPOT24 are original frescoes by the artist PichiAvo, posters and watches from the legendary collection Keith Haring x Swatch, the vinyl collection of the notorious New York record dealer Lord Funk, and stop-motion videos by the expert Patagraph, best known for the making of Orelsan’s video ”La Quête”.

Your visit continues in an area dedicated to finger skate in the streets of a miniature Paris imagined by Nicolas Pierre as well as surfboards created by Polynesian artists and photos and sculptures by the talented French artist Léo Caillard.
