Exhibition ticket - Dalí, the endless enigma
The new show by the Atelier des Lumières looks back on over 60 years of work by the Catalan master artist, who transcended – and invented – a number of artistic styles.
More than 30 years after his death, Dalí and his “paranoiac-critical method” continue to resonate with and fascinate modern-day audiences. Accompanied by the music of Pink Floyd, journey through surrealist and metaphysical landscapes and dive deep into surprising works straight from the artist’s vivid imagination. Iconic masterpieces like The Persistence of Memory and Mae West’s Face, Leda Atomica and The Temptation of St. Anthony show the full extent of Dalí’s talent, from his initial forays into Impressionism and Cubism to his mystical religious works, surrealist period and his connections to theatre, photography and film.
Although previously spread across the world (including exhibitions at the Dalí Theatre-Museum in Figueres, the Dalí Museum in Florida, the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid and MoMA in New-York), they have at last been gathered together here in the heart of Paris, bringing the walls and floors of the Atelier alive and soaring up to 10 metres high.
This is an exhibition event that really is larger than life – just like the artist himself!
