Exhibition - Louis de Funès
"If you are told Le Gendarme de Saint-Tropez, La Folie des Grandeurs, Pouic-Pouic, La Traversée de Paris, Fantomas, Les aventures de Rabbi Jacob, La Grande Vadrouille"… there is no doubt that you are thinking of Louis de Funès as this extraordinary actor has made his mark on the French film scene with a number of unforgettable comedies and lines.
For the first time, the Cinémathèque française is dedicating a major exhibition to an actor, a little man born of Spanish parents who has become the most popular French comedian. More than 300 works, paintings, models, costumes, sculptures and drawings, all accompanied by film extracts, pay homage to the talent of this true one-man band, singer, dancer, mime, sound artist and choreographer.
