A unique vista on the Champs-Élysées, the world’s most beautiful avenue.
In 1806, Napoleon I ordered the building of a triumphal arch - the Arc de Triomphe - in honour of his great army. Inspired by arches from Antiquity, this emblematic monument bears the names of battles and generals of the French Revolution and the Napoleonic Wars. It houses the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on which a flame is revived every evening. From its roof terrace, you can admire a unique view down the Champs-Élysées, by day or by night.
