Description

Le Perreux-sur-Marne is a quiet and upmarket suburb just two kilometres from the Bois de Vincennes, one of the largest green spaces in eastern Paris.

If you are looking for a breath of fresh air, try Les Délices de Gigi, a local institution which blazed a trail for vegan cuisine in the outskirts of Paris when it opened back in 2014.

Since then, Gigi's has not deviated from its ethical code – respecting nature and avoiding any animal suffering – with its 100% vegan recipes. Even the cakes and pastries contain no animal fat, eggs, milk or honey. Indeed, this place specialises in cake design, the art of transforming cakes into elaborate trompe-l’œils. If you prefer something simpler, you can enjoy a range of vegan sandwiches, salads, veggie bowls, quiches, wraps, crêpes, pizzas and lasagnes.
