YC, chef Yann Couvreur’s first café, is on the ground floor of Galeries Lafayette Gourmet. His pastries, cakes and savoury treats are a harmonious blend of meticulously chosen flavours, perfect for brunch, lunch or tea. During this Christmas season, the chef is bursting with imagination and exclusively presents a Christmas Bûche decorated with Haussmann mouldings in chocolate, almond and tangerine flavours. A unique gustative experience!!
Christophe Michalak, the rock star of French pastry-making, has taken up residence at Printemps du Goût, the city’s new foodie paradise. Head to the 7th-floor food counter to taste his unapologetically innovative pastries and cakes, such as his salted butter cream puff or “kosmik” chocolate mousse or its graphic chocolate praline, raspberry-passion or mango-lemon Bûches for the 2018 edition.

Yann Menguy is making traditional French pastry-making more accessible by serving it up in a New York-style coffee shop in the heart of the bustling Goutte d’Or neighbourhood. As the barista prepares your coffee, nibble on the chef’s signature dessert, a swoon-inducing swirl of hazelnut cream on a chocolate-coated biscuit. Or order THE Christmas Bûche, a treasure box in trompe-l’œil where the acidity of passion fruit mixed with the sweetness of chocolate will truly make an impression!

Philippe Conticini opened his first Gâteaux d’émotions shop in Japan and now there is a second in the heart of Paris.
